Joy and I went to San Diego a few weekends ago and i finally got the pics up!  Check them out!

This last weekend my lady and i had the opportunity to travel through the wonderful washingtonian country side to the warm and sunny Yakima Valley.  Although the valley is heralded for it's wine tasting, we made a pretty good go at searching the country side for another nice treat - fruit.

 

 

 

In two days we tackled more then 20 stands and businessess selling local fruit and found the very best.  We saw everything from the small stands on the side of the road to the full blown industrial warehouse-type found at the end of orchards stretching for miles.  At one point we drove down this long windy road in Granger and saw both Mt. Ranier and Mt. Adams above the fruited plains.  Makes you want to crown thy good with brotherhood, really.

 

So, if you're looking for something to do on these nice summer weekends, going to Yakima is a nice excursion from the busy, city life of Seattle.  But when you go over, take some advice on where to go and what to expect because they've got great prices and some nice stops they're just a little harder to come by sometimes.
